Dramatically pretty independent historical village house, directly on the river, at Dolcedo.
Restored to perfection, with careful attention to detail and a super mix of antique and modern. The house has a small courtyard directly on the river bank, with frogs, dragonflies and fireflies, looking on to the medieval bridge.
The house is of 145 mq and is a classic historic village house of Liguria, with arched ceilings and pretty beams. On the ground floor is the entrance hall, a bedroom and storeroom of good measure, this was in historic times where the olive oil was ground. On the first floor is a large open plan sitting room overlooking the river with large windows, a part of which has a modern kitchen, there is also a super bathroom. The ceiling of the living room is super high, arched with wooden beams and the upper part makes a glamorous master bedroom with terrace overlooking Dolcedo.
The house itself has been recently restructured, so it is in absolutely perfect condition. The heating is under the floor.
The village of Dolcedo is probably the prettiest and least spoilt of the inland medieval villages of Liguria, it has enormous charm, full of medieval churches, bridges and with deep pools for swimming on the river. It is 6 km easy drive down the river valley to the coast and the motorway junction of Imperia.
