Land Liguria

The landscape of Liguria is one of the most unknown in all of Italy, of phenomenal natural beauty.

Increasingly clients are looking for land for sale in Liguria, enticed by this fabulous landscape.
Liguria is a land where the mountain rises directly up from the sea extending until Piemonte, in mountain valleys, much of which is National Park. There is no industry from Nice in the South of France until Savona, a vast distance of unpolluted mountains, with rich river valleys and dramatic panoramas over the Mediterranean below. This natural landscape, once the coast is left behind, has been left untouched, the countryside is rich, with the characteristic olive groves on terraced land with old stone walls being the most significant aspect of the landscape.
Nature abounds with wild alpine flowers, the much researched funghi porcini *wild mushrooms and frutti di bosco, small wild strawberries and raspberries. Very marked are the beautiful mountain streams which tumble over granite boulders and create huge and deep rock pools, which are wonderful for swimming in summer. It is in no sense an arid and dry landscape, but rather verdently green with an abundance of flowers and fauna. These mountains are full of the characteristic medieval villages of Liguria, they were always built on rock, taking the high ground and using a defensive position to defend against continous invasion.

If you are looking for land for sale in Liguria this could be an ideal location, with the backdrop of these beautiful villages.
Within the villages, the old castle, watch towers and ancient churches are full of art treasures from another time. All of medieval Italy is to be found here, abandoned in its original condition, narrow streets, ancient houses with vaulted ceilings and beams, have often been transformed into charming bars and wonderful restaurants, were the traditional Liguria lunch consists of endless antipasta, delicious pasta such as ravioli with wild mushrooms and delicious puddings, all with unlimited wine.
